mweqAmasya (mwegin greco Αμάσεια?, Amáseia) è una mwewcittà della Turchia, capoluogo dell'mwfaomonima provincia.

L'antica Amasea diede i natali al grande mwfggeografo mwfwgreco mwgaStrabone e a mwgqSan Rufino Vescovo e Martire, primo mwggvescovo di Assisi e titolare della mwgwCattedrale di Assisi in Italia. Amasea faceva parte del mwharegno del Ponto ed al termine della mwhqterza guerra mitridatica entrò a far parte della mwhgprovincia romana di mwhwBitinia e Ponto. Fu mwiasede metropolitana.
